Address: Rittinen 30, 3924 St. Niklaus, , Switzerland
Size: 90.0 m², 4 Rooms, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms
Beds: 6 Single beds
The house stands on a 1300 square metre plot and has two neighbours in the immediate vicinity. A smaller house stands to the north and a similarly large one to the southeast. For shopping you can drive to St. Niklaus or to Grächen. Both are about 7 minutes away. For skiing or snowboarding, you can take the bus to Grächen, which is included in the ski ticket, or drive up yourself. For winter sports equipment, we have a storage room right next to the valley station in Grächen.
Saas Fee and Zermatt can be reached in approx. 35 minutes by car or within 1:37h (Saas Fee) or 57 minutes (Zermatt) by public transport.
The bus stop "St. Niklaus, Rittinen" is about 2 minutes walk from the house.
From here the bus (and ski bus) goes to Grächen and St. Niklaus to the train station. From St. Niklaus station you can take the train to Zermatt and Visp. From Visp it is then one hour to Bern, two hours to Zurich, 2:17h to the airport in Zurich, 2:15h to Geneva and 2:30 to the airport in Geneva.
By car, coming from the north, drive through the Lötschberg to Visp and then towards Grächen. Coming from the east, it is best to drive via Andermatt through the Furka to Visp and then towards Grächen. From the south via the Simplon or the Great St. Bernhard, then to Visp and then towards Grächen. And all guests arriving from the west and northwest are best served via Vevey, Martigny, Visp and then towards Grächen.
In St. Niklaus, the path leads off the main road to the left towards Grächen. Drive up the mountain for approx. 4.5 km or 6 minutes until you see the white town sign "Rittinen" on the right-hand side of the road. From the town sign it is about 100 metres to the right until the driveway leads up to the car park in a 180 degree turn. The best thing to do is to make the U-turn at the bus stops a little further up and then turn left up the driveway. Welcome to the Nadelgrat.
